What is a Twizy?

Not only fun, eco friendly are these tiny electric cars, they're also increasing in popularity due to their practicality and being extremely cost effective to run. 

In the UK there are two variants of Renault Twizy available. You have the option of the Cargo "large rear storage single seater" or the standard two seater option.

The Renault Twizy 80 is one of the cheapest electric cars money can buy, there’s also no road tax to pay and it is also exempt from the London Congestion Charge. With the current cost of a full charge as little as around a couple of pounds the Renault Twizy really is a economical car to run, giving you lots of smiles for pence per miles!

Range:

The Twizy has a NEDC range of 56 miles, In reality you should be achieving a realistic range of between - 30 miles at 50 mph 50 miles at 30mph, this will vary due to weather conditions, terrain and driving style. Though the range isn’t huge this should be perfect for anyone looking to commute weather that’s to the station or used for urban deliveries.

Battery:

When the Twizy was first launched it came only with the option to lease the battery from Renault, this meant the new owner only owned essentially half of there car! This is still the case for the majority of older Twizy’s, meaning they can be less desirable. Renault later changed this as battery technology progressed though the price then becoming less realistic for many people. This is why Electricwhizz decided to sauce Twizys at affordable prices without the hassle of a battery lease! All vehicles are fully inspected and come standard with a comprehensive warranty for peace of mind.

Charging:

With the Twizy having a three pin plug charger as standard charging really shouldn’t be a problem! This being said there is even an option to purchase an adaptor allowing you to charge at public charge points if you are planning the od longer trip.
